Garlicky Avocado Burger (A Simple Protein-Rich Meal)

Some meals feel complicated before you even start cooking.

Too many ingredients. Too many steps. Too many dishes waiting in the sink afterward.

And sometimes what you really want is something simple, satisfying, and grounding.

This burger is one of those meals I come back to when I want real food that feels hearty without being heavy. Garlic brings depth, bacon adds richness, and fresh avocado on top gives the whole dish a creamy balance that makes it feel complete.

It’s the kind of meal that reminds you food doesn’t have to be complicated to be nourishing.

Sometimes the best meals are the ones built from a few good ingredients cooked well.

Why This Meal Supports Your Body

Beef is a rich source of high-quality protein along with important nutrients like iron, zinc, and vitamin B12. These nutrients play an important role in energy production, muscle repair, and metabolic health.

Adding bacon into the burger mixture brings flavor and natural fats that help keep the meal satisfying. Fat slows digestion and helps prevent the quick blood sugar swings that often lead to cravings later.

Avocado adds a completely different kind of nourishment. It provides fiber, potassium, and heart-healthy monounsaturated fats that support metabolic balance and help the meal feel more complete.

Together, the combination of protein, healthy fats, and whole ingredients creates a meal that keeps you full and energized longer.

It is simple nourishment that works with your body rather than against it.

Garlicky Avocado Burger

Ingredients

1 large avocado, fresh
1/4 tablespoon black peppercorn
1/4 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons fresh garlic
1/2 pound bacon
1.5 pounds ground beef

Instructions

  1. Using a food processor, pulse the bacon strips until they are ground. If you do not have a food processor, you can freeze the bacon for about 10 minutes and chop it finely with a sharp knife.

  2. Crush or mince the garlic and place it in a large bowl. Add the ground beef and bacon. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the meat. Using your hands, combine the meats, garlic, and seasoning until evenly mixed.

  3. Divide the meat into quarter-pound sections and shape them into burger patties.

  4. Heat a cast iron skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties in batches and sear for about 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your preferred doneness.

  5. Serve with fresh avocado slices on top of each burger.

A Simple Reminder

Meals like this remind us that nourishment does not need to be complicated.

A few whole ingredients, cooked well, can support your body in powerful ways.

And sometimes the most satisfying meals are also the simplest ones.
